The Women Who Explore community was created to provide a safe, inclusive and supportive space for women to find their own badassery! We want women to feel confident in themselves, proud of their accomplishments and inspired by other women to step out of their comfort zone and pursue their wildest dreams!
As an ambassador, you would have the opportunity to connect with like-minded women, share your love of the outdoors, and help other women overcome any obstacles they may face in getting outside. You also have the opportunity to represent a brand that is committed to empowering women and promoting diversity and inclusivity in the outdoors.
If you are looking to build a community, in person or online, that supports and encourages women to pursue their passions and follow their dreams to explore the world…then this is the PERFECT place for you!!
What does a WWE ambassador look like
We’re searching for organized leaders, social media aficionados, and outdoor lovers with a passion for adventure and travel who want to empower women across the globe!
You don’t have to be an expert… but you do need to:
Love this planet and the people on it
Enjoy planning fun events or creating inspiring social media content
Be passionate about supporting other women!

Become a WWE Ambassador!
Are you the friend who always plans the best itineraries and makes sure everyone has packed enough snacks?
Our Ambassadors are the heart and soul of their WWE local community!! These women are the boots on the ground and responsible for creating, building and empowering women through meetups in their local community. We have a list of ideas below of how you can best engage your community, but no strict rules as to how you choose to do that. You know your community best AND we’re sure you have your own ideas.
You do not need to spend ANY money as an ambassador. You do not need to promote trips or sell any products. The ambassador program was created to encourage women to connect in their local areas.
Here’s what we encourage our brand ambassadors to do:
Organize and host least 6 meet-ups each year for the WWE community
Make sure that everyone’s adventure is enjoyable
Proudly represent WWE, leaving nothing but happy hearts and footprints behind
Be actively engaged in your local Facebook community and keep up to date with WWE social media accounts and WWE ambassador group
Have or create a Facebook account to connect with your local community and fellow WWE ambassadors
Ambassador Program FAQs

For Event Ambassadors, we ask that you reside in the location they are applying to be an ambassador if hosting events. Please note for event ambassadors, priority will be given to areas where we are looking to grow the local ambassador team and activate local communities.
Social media ambassadors do not need to have a permanent address and may also apply to help with our vanlife or worldwide Facebook communities. Our social media ambassador role is new and we are so excited to offer additional ways for women to get involved with the community! Since this is a pilot program, there will be limited space for this application round. -
We ask that you only apply if you are 100% committed to participating in the WWE community. We ask that everyone communicates openly with leadership as we understand that life has many seasons and unexpected changes may shift your priorities and commitments. We will always do our best to support you and work with you on what type of commitment works for your schedule. There is no set amount of time you need to dedicate to this community. Our biggest ask is that you are having fun and making friends.

If you would like to start a community in your area, we encourage you to apply! It takes some elbow grease to get a group going, but we’re here to support you along with your fellow ambassadors!

To apply, please complete the application in its entirety. We highly encourage all applicants to create a short introduction video and share it with us by emailing it to info@womenwhoexplore.com.
Applications are open from April 15th - April 30th, 2023. Outside of this timeframe, any additional applications will be accepted on a case-by-case basis.

Our Ambassador Coordinator and Managers will review your application. We ask that you give us 2-4 weeks to get back to you with the next steps. If you do not hear from us after 5 weeks from your application date, please reach out to us by email.

There is a FB group dedicated to our Ambassadors. When you become an ambassador, there may be a group that’s already established and you’ll have the chance to work on events/projects together. Sometimes you’ll be starting a group from scratch and you’ll rely more heavily on your fellow ambassadors all over North America.
For social media ambassadors, you will also be able to join the FB group, but there will also be a WhatsApp chat to help facilitate projects. -
There are many reasons why we might not bring you on board as an ambassador. Two big reasons are an incomplete application OR an area is already saturated with Ambassadors. We want women to have ownership of an area and we’ve found if the ambassador gets too big, it’s difficult to manage. This shouldn’t stop you from participating in the group though and helping out! You can also apply again in the next round!

ABSOLUTELY! This shows us that you are already engaged in the area you’re applying for and we now have personal references for you. We HIGHLY recommend participating in local events in your area before applying. We realize this doesn’t work for areas where there isn’t a group or it isn’t active.
Same goes for Social Media ambassadors! If you are referred to us by either a brand we work with or an ambassador, you are far more likely to move quickly through the application process. -
Absolutely not! This program is designed to empower women in the outdoors. There is no requirement to spend any money (we actually encourage you not to) and no need to promote any of our paid trips.

All types of women! Some have just moved into a new area and are looking to meet adventurous friends. Some have skills or passions they are looking to share. Most are just looking to be connected to a bigger community who share the same passions. We all have an adventurous spirit in common :)
